Project Overview
This RIDGLOK® Vertical Standing Seam Panel Insulation System was manufactured at our facility in Reed, KY for installation on two ground storage tanks in Buckner, Kentucky near Louisville at a food & beverage facility.
There were two tanks on this project with external rafter roofs. The first measured 36.5’ in diameter and stood 21.86’ tall. The second measured 19.7’ in diameter and stood 15.1’.
Upon completion of the project, the Sr. Engineer stated that the job was completed to his satisfaction and he would recommend both the RIDGLOK® Panel System and the MC&I crew. He further commented, “Excellent, fast work, kept clean, no impact to operations. RIDGLOK® is a quality product.”
Anaerobic Digestion
Anaerobic digesters are specifically designed to facilitate the anaerobic digestion process under a controlled atmosphere process in a large, sealed tank which is void of oxygen. This is to achieve maximum biogas production in a short period of time. The biomass is heated to around the temperature of blood when it will react with the naturally occurring micro-organisms and bacteria. This gas can then be used to generate energy. Thermal insulation protects the process and conserves energy from heater usage.
