This RIDGLOK® Vertical Standing Seam Panel Insulation System was installed on a Fire Protection Tank for Clark & Sons Inc, located in E. Sparta, OH. The storage tank was utilized to hold water for their manufacturing facility. Storage tank size: 43.08′ diameter x 24.55′ in height. The bolted tank project was completed on February 21, 2013.
The RIDGLOK® Insulated Panel System consisted of 0.024 stucco-embossed aluminum metal jacketing, in grey laminated to 2.0 thickness of polyisocyanurate insulation board. R-value of 13.1, using a cone roof system.

Fire protection water storage tanks that are in colder regions are required to have tank heaters and permitted to be insulated to CONSERVE energy per NFPA 22 codes section 16.1-16.5.
The RIDGLOK® Vertical Standing Seam Panel Insulation system is used for freeze protection in fire protection tanks for wet sprinkler systems. The panels can be applied to all types of tanks, including flat bolted, chimed bolted, glass-lined, fiberglass, welded, stainless steel, and concrete. The tank does not need to be taken out of service to install the system.
