MC&I designed, manufactured and installed the RIDGLOK® Vertical Standing Seam Insulated Panel System on a fire protection ground storage tank for FedEx, located in Hermiston, OR.
Details of the FedEx Freight Hub storage tank project can be read about by clicking on this link:
The fire protection storage tank was a 38.62′ diameter x 24.55′ high bolted tank. The tank insulation project was completed in March of 2011.
The RIDGLOK® Vertical Standing Seam Insulated Panel System consisted of 0.024 stucco-embossed aluminum metal jacketing, in White color, laminated to 2″ polyisocyanurate insulation board (R-value of 13.1), using a straight pan roof system.
The RIDGLOK® Vertical Standing Seam Insulated Panel System is used for freeze protection in fire protection stprage tanks. The insulation panels can be applied to all types of tanks, including flat bolted, chimed bolted, glass lined, fiberglass, welded, stainless steel and concrete. The storage tank does not need to be taken out of service to install the insulation system. Insulating fire protection tanks with RIDGLOK® Vertical Standing Seam Insulated Panel System provides energy savings by reducing the amount of electricity needed to heat the tank.
