Project Overview
This RIDGLOK® Vertical Standing Seam Panel Insulation System was manufactured at our facility in Reed, KY for installation on two separate tanks used for chilled water storage at a gold mine in Carlin, NV. Carlin is best known for its top-producing gold mines and recreational lands. Interstate 80 coming from Salt Lake City, UT runs through the small town as it passes on to Reno, NV.
Tank Specifications
Tank number one stood 24’ tall with a diameter of 67’. The second tank stood 24’ tall with a slightly smaller diameter of 57.5’. These two ground storage tanks required insulation in order to maintain an adequate chilled operating temperature year-round.
Despite frigid temperatures and wintery weather, our install crew was able to complete the job in a timely manner on schedule. Upon completion of the project, the construction manager stated that the work was completed satisfactorily and that he would recommend both the RIDGLOK® Panel System and the MC&I Installation Crew to others.
