Potters Industries LLC, is a leading producer of engineered glass materials serving the oil and gas Industry, polymer additives, highway safety, metal finishing, and conductive particle markets. Potters is the largest producer worldwide of highway safety marking glass beads, metal finishing beads for cleaning and strengthening metals, glass media for grinding and dispersing, glass microspheres for friction and weight reduction in oil drilling applications, and metal-coated particles to provide electromagnetic shielding interference of electronic parts.

This RIDGLOK® Vertical Standing Seam Panel Insulation System was installed on a storage tank for Potters Industries in Augusta, GA. The tank was utilized to hold silicate for the facility.

The RIDGLOK® Insulated Panel System consisted of 0.024 white stucco-embossed aluminum metal jacketing laminated to 2.0” polyisocyanurate insulation board with an R-value of 13.1 using a straight panel cone roof system. The roof panels were equipped with non-skid tape to allow for safe maneuvering when necessary.

The tank was a 21’ diameter x 30’ high welded tank. The project was completed on September 1, 2015.
