MC&I designed, manufactured and installed the RIDGLOK® Vertical Standing Seam Insulated Panel System on a fire protection ground storage tank at the PPG manufacturing facility located in Strongsville, OH.
This fire protection storage tank had an existing coating of spray foam insulation on it. The existing spray foam insulation was left on the tank, but sanded down to allow for the installation of the RIDGLOK® Vertical Standing Seam Insulated Panel System.
The fire protection storage tank was a 43′ diameter x 37.5′ high welded tank, with a full perimeter guardrail on the roof. The storage tank insulation project was completed in September, 2012.
The RIDGLOK® Vertical Standing Seam Insulated Panel System consisted of 0.024 stucco-embossed aluminum metal jacketing, in a Fawn color, laminated to 1.5″ of polyisocyanurate insulation board (nominal R-value of 10), using a radial roof pan system.
