Petrochemical tanks serve a range of needs.
Refineries, Tank Terminals, or Tank Farms who serve various clients might find themselves with any of the following types of industrial tanks that require external insulation:
- Hot asphalt tanks
- Biodiesel
- Feedstock
- Vegetable Oil
- Ethanol
- Crude Oil
- Heating oil
- Gas
- Diesel Exhaust Fluid
- Aviation fuel, and more
Hot asphalt tanks extend the heater and save on energy costs. Hot asphalt tanks also require insulation to maintain a proper working temperature for the contents, but also to extend tank heater life, save on energy costs, and to protect personnel. For hot applications, RIDGLOK® panels use a composite insulation that absorbs the hot tank surface temperature while adding a high R-Value rigid polyisocyanurate insulation as an outer layer to protect against ambient temperatures.
Diesel fuel suffers from ‘waxing’ as temperatures fall, and is often insulated against cold weather to keep the tanks above the wax point.
RIDGLOK® panels are used throughout the country in large and small tank terminals, in refineries, and other petrochemical industries that require a proven tank insulation that’s durable, low-maintenance, and has a long lifespan.
The links below will show you some of the various tanks we’ve insulated for the petrochemical industry.
